MTV, Plan Canada and Mobile Jam Fest want you to have a say about girls’ rights around the world – including in your community. We invite you to submit a photograph or short essay about ‘because I am a girl’ or ‘because I know a girl’. For girls (that’s all of you under the age of 18) share something about your life as a girl – either a story or a photo. Canada Next Top Model winner, Rebecca Hardy to be featured at MJF Photo Camp

MJF in partnership with CoverGirl, and Schools Without Borders will be running an intensive weekend workshop for young women April 5&6, 2008 at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto Canada. Rebecca Hardy, winner of Canada's Next Top Model will attend and provide young women insight into making it in the fashion industry. Female mentors photography, and print worlds will provide youth with hands on training to help take their creative work to the next level. Register at MJF and stay tuned for more details.

THE WOMANHOOD LEARNING PROJECT.

The Hip-Hop Association invites ILLUSTRATORS AND PHOTOGRAPHERS to submit work for THE WOMANHOOD LEARNING PROJECT.

The Womanhood Learning project is a two-year initiative that explores women's roles and leadership positions in different sectors within Hip-Hop culture and the community. This project is intended to bring unity within women in Hip-Hop by creating a space to learn, build, and bring about concrete change through an online platform - www.womeninhiphop.net, a book, a case study, and a marketing campaign empowering women around the world.  read more »
